NFL Draft

The NFL draft is a pretty big deal, and not being an official sponsor of it limited what we could show and say about our headphones during the draft itself. Not only that, but Bose, our competitor, was a sponsor.

An insight we landed on, is that NFL players love their Beats and will take them anywhere, even if it’s the NFL draft. So we signed three potential top 5 draft picks and had them take their calls with their new head coach, all on Powerbeats. By doing so, we stole the show.

In Hawaiian culture, ohana means family.

Together with our draft day strategy, we created a commercial to showcase Beats’ new Powerbeats earphones in action with top 3 draft pick Marcus Mariota. While there have been many Beats’ commercials, each telling their own unique athlete stories, we wanted to create a version that would be true to Marcus. In Hawaiian culture, “ohana” means family, and for Marcus, family means everything. But ohana is more than just his parents and brother; it’s all of Hawaii and everyone who’s helped him along the way.
