Anthony Bourdain described Tokyo as, “It’s that densely packed, impenetrable layer cake of the strange, wonderful and awful that thrills. It’s mesmerizing. Intimidating. Disorienting. Upsetting. Poignant. And yes, beautiful.” After visiting Tokyo and the nearby cities, I couldn’t agree more.
