The NFL draft is one of the year’s most watched events, drawing millions of viewers and extensive media coverage. Despite the challenges of not being an official sponsor and competing directly with Bose, the official sponsor, we leveraged the insight that NFL players love their Beats and would proudly use them even on draft day.

We capitalized on this by signing three potential top 5 draft picks and having them take their calls with their new head coaches using Powerbeats, effectively stealing the show.

In Hawaiian culture, ohana means family.

In addition to our draft day strategy, I helped create a commercial featuring top 3 draft pick Marcus Mariota, showcasing the new Powerbeats earphones. Our goal was to craft a story true to Marcus, highlighting the importance of “ohana” (family) in Hawaiian culture. For Marcus, ohana encompasses his parents, brother, all of Hawaii, and everyone who has supported him along the way. The result was a heartfelt campaign that resonated with audiences and celebrated Marcus’s roots.
